Prints

I go back and forth about giving out CDs with my sessions. Why? Because I know clients like the CDs… but if I do, my photos will most likely be printed at a typical one-hour lab. I’m not saying you shouldn’t ever print at these places for your regular pictures. But if you pay for professional photos, it’s worth the money to have those photos printed at a high-quality lab. I have an example below.

For Valentine’s Day I made photo valentines of my kids and ordered them from my printer. I didn’t order enough though, and I procrastinated so much I didn’t have time to order more from them. I had to order from a local one-hour lab.

This is the original photo that I sent to print:

Cute, huh? That’s beside the point… ;)

Check this out. The top one is from my printer. The bottom one is from the one-hour lab.

Pretty big difference, right? Again, for every day snapshots the cheap photos are fine. But if you’re paying for professional photos – professional prints are worth it! I provide prints with my sessions for this reason. I take pride in my work and want my clients to have the best end-product possible.

This post is only meant to open your eyes to the difference between a cheap lab and a professional lab. I wouldn’t have known this years ago.

I would be happy to show these in person if you’d like to see them. ;)

I just have to say I love having the disc so I can share them online. But I also loved the fact that I could order them from your printer….and the prices were so reasonable, why would you want to go with anything else?

    Thank you, Stephanie!
